Ready by Christ.
In the football world, a man learns to say "I was born ready." It is a lie. No man is born ready for marriage. No man is born ready for fatherhood. No man is born ready for the work God set in front of him or the weight of eternity that comes with it.
He is built. Christ does the building. He is made ready. Christ does the making. That is the brand. That is the only ground a man can stand on.
"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."
I am Heath Evans.
Ten years in the NFL. Eight years as an analyst on the NFL Network. A man who built a life on the scoreboard and watched it burn.
Before the man you see now, my sin cost me everything. My family. My wealth. My first marriage. My reputation. The Lord stripped it down to two things I did not deserve to keep: my health, and a relationship with my two daughters.
That is not a story I tell so you feel sorry for me. I do not deserve sympathy. I deserved worse than what I got. What I tell you is this: in the burning, He saved me. Christ took the man chasing the world and gave him the world that mattered. A wife. Children. A faith that I know cannot be shaken because it was forged in a fire that should have ended me.
Today I am married to Chrissy. We are raising six children. Ava and Naomi came to us by birth. Set, Ezekiel, Malachi, and Noel joined our family through adoption in 2023. We are a covenant household. That is the life Christ rebuilt out of the rubble of the man I used to be.
I kept hearing the
same sentence.
Different men. Different rooms. Different stages of life. The same line, almost word for word:
Christian husbands missing their wives. Fathers absent from their kids. Men who knew the gospel and could not stop drifting from it. Men who had walked with Christ for years and were still losing private fights nobody saw.
They did not need another sermon. They needed brothers. They needed a Standard. They needed a man one row ahead saying "I have been here. Get up. Walk."
That is what BUILTREADY is. It is what I needed when I was losing those private fights. It is what I am now in a position to build for the next man.
What we are.
A house with a Standard. A library that names the fight. A ladder that forges the man. Real Scripture. Real men. Real war.
What we are not.
We are not soft Christianity.
We do not water down the Word to make it easier for a man to hear. The Word has cost men their lives for two thousand years. It can cost you an evening of comfort.
We are not hustle culture wearing a cross.
The grind will not save you. The grind almost killed me. The grind has killed plenty of good men dressed up as "providers."
And we are not a church.
Hear me carefully on this one, because it matters. BUILTREADY does not replace your local church. We do not pretend to. A man cannot be discipled by a screen. He cannot be baptized by an app. He cannot take communion through a podcast. He needs a pastor who knows his name. He needs a flock. He needs a covenant body that meets in person, week after week, under faithful preaching of the Word.
What we do is strengthen the man so the man strengthens his church. We send men back to their pews sharper, more faithful, more present, more useful to their flock than they were when they walked in here. If BUILTREADY ever pulls a man away from his local church, we have failed him.
Body. Mind. Life.
Three layers. One man. Each one addresses a different part of who he is. A man who works all three is not the same man who started.
Forged
Through discipline he proves he can hold a Standard. The body is the doorway. A man who cannot govern his own appetites cannot govern his home, his work, or his calling.
Equipped
Through Scripture and teaching he installs the framework for biblical manhood. Husband. Father. Provider. Brother. He stops reacting to his life and starts leading it.
Held
Through men shoulder to shoulder he stops fighting alone. The men he forges with become the men he calls for the rest of his life. No man finishes the race solo.
Five pillars. One man.
Every product, every Field Guide, every cohort, every page on this site stands on at least one of these. Most stand on all five. They are the brand's theology in action.
A man who cannot govern himself cannot lead his home.
Scripture is the only ground that does not move.

What we believe.
BUILTREADY is unapologetically rooted in historic, biblical Christianity. We hold to Scripture as the inspired and inerrant Word of God. We hold to the gospel of Jesus Christ crucified, buried, risen, returning. We hold to the church as His body. We hold to marriage, fatherhood, and manhood as God designed them.
